London
onestella1 asked:

I am going to be staying in Brighton for about a month in August. I work in London on Thursday and Sat mornings. I need to figure out the most inexpensive way to commute back and forth twice a week. Anyone have some good info? Cheers!

What time do you need to arrive in London, please?

You can catch a coach, but it’s a long journey, especially as you enter South London, with all the traffic.

It would be easier to get a train and get a cheap day return - but you wouldn’t be allowed to arrive in London before 0930.

I’ll be happy to help further.

there is no cheap way! (sorry…)

if you’re commuting and need to be there before 9, you’ll have to get the most expensive ticket going - but only on thursday.
on saturday you’ll be able to get a weekend return, which are much cheaper

if you work in london, do you have an oyster card?
if so, it would probably work out cheaper to get a return to london victoria then use the tube on the oystercard, rather than getting a railcard from brighton
