London
g asked:

We are planning a trip to London, Paris, and the region of Provence. What is the least expensive way to get from city to city? We are travelling with an 8 year old and 2 senior citizens.
Thanks so much for your answers. I could not possibly decide which answer was best. They’re all great and informative. Exactly what I needed to know. Take care!

For London to Paris, either take the train, or check with a European regional airline, which often has super cheap flights within Europe. Depending upon where you’re going in Provence, either rent a car or take the train (I recommend the train).

Eurostar to Paris gare du nord
then take the RER B from gare du nord (line B) to Chatelet les Halles
take RER A to gare de lyon
then TGV to Marseille. it’s fast and easy.
avoid rush hours if you can on the RER

Cheapest way to get from London to Paris or vice versa is the bus. Go to. The bus drives on the left in England, boards a ferry to get across the channel, then drives on the right to get to Paris. It is as cheap at $10 if you buy while tickets are discounted. Takes much longer than the eurostart, but it is CHEAP.
