-Autumn in the City- asked:
I was thinking of spending a few weeks (up to a month) in London next summer with my sister to get a feel for the city and life in London. We’re from Boston, and we’d love to spend a summer away from the US.

So my questions are:
Is it possible to rent an apartment for a month or less?
How much would that cost?
Do we need any special papers (besides a passport) or anything to do this?
And any other information on the subject would be much appreciated!

yes of course it’s possible … just search for something like “self catering accommodation london” and it will pull up loads of websites … this is just one of many
you don’t need any special papers because you’re coming as visitors for less than three months, and booking an apartment is really no different from booking a hotel … self catering apartments is a very comfortable way of spending a few weeks in a place, much more homely … it doesn’t really matter too much which area of London you choose as long as it’s not to far from an underground station
