I am from Canada and I hope to teach in London/UK for about two years. I am not from the area and have been trying to research affordable, yet liveable areas. I have been looking at flatshare websites, but I just don’t know the areas well enough to understand the locations properly. Also trying to determine if the price is right is also difficult without knowing what a going rate is for a shared flat.

I will be doing some teaching supply so I need to be able to get around the city rather easily, so as close to a tube station would be best!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Myself and and a friend are planning to move to London, UK in a year or so, and we are wondering if anyone has any tips as to where we can find a cheap and not utterly disgusting apartment to rent?

I am planning to go to Vietnam in December.
Which is the cheapest way to travel there?
From what I’ve heard, there is no direct route from London to Vietnam.
Also, apparently, bookings in December are incredibly expensive for some reason?
I’ve had a quick search via Thai Airlines and its £4000 for one person?! (when normally it should be around £800?)
*sorry i meant £2000.
I’m looking for flights that are around £1000 maximum.
I’m planning to go at the end of december and return at the beginning of January.

I am an interior designer taking my first trip to london and paris next year. I want to get the most out of my experience there and hopefully gain some inspiration and knowledge that can be applied to my work. I want to know what are some “must see” sights in those cities that every interior designer must explore in those cities.
